Audit Oversight Board:
Through registration, inspection, and enforcement proceedings against auditors of public-interest companies, the Audit Oversight Board (AOB) plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and dependability of audits in Malaysia. Candidates who are chosen will join a high-level team tasked with inspecting audit businesses for quality assurance, assessing their quality control systems, and figuring out how they affect the overall quality of audits.
The role includes gathering and organizing information to support identified inspection issues, researching and consulting on complex technical matters, preparing technical comments, assisting in drafting inspection reports, and contributing to the development of inspection and investigation manuals.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance your technical expertise through hands-on inspection activities, collaborate with experienced professionals, support key inspection projects aimed at improving the effectiveness of the oversight program, and contribute to training initiatives and policy development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education:
- Membership in an accredited professional accounting association is required (CA, ACCA, ICMA, CPA, etc.).
- A bachelor’s degree is required, while a master’s is desirable.
- Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience is required for the position of joint director/quality assurance inspector.
- A minimum of three years of relevant post-qualification experience is required for the position of Deputy Director or Quality Assurance Inspector.
- Age Restrictions: 45 years old at most (relaxed in worthy circumstances)
- Competencies Needed:
- strong technical understanding of accounting rules and audits
- Outstanding communication, report-writing, and analytical abilities
- Capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively
- Additional Requirements Exclusive to citizens of Pakistan
