Directorate Crop Reporting Service:
The Directorate Crop Reporting Service (CRS) Sindh operates under the visionary framework of the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Emergency Program and leverages cutting-edge technologies including Remote Sensing, GIS, and mobile-based data collection to deliver precise crop statistics. Successful candidates will be deployed at district, divisional, and provincial levels to conduct field surveys, validate satellite imagery data, compile crop cutting experiments, and generate reliable agricultural reports.
These positions are offered on a purely contract basis initially for three years (extendable subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of the project). The selected individuals will enjoy government-scale salaries (BPS-05 to BPS-16) along with special field allowances, medical facilities, and annual increments as per Sindh Government rules. The work environment blends field visits in rural Sindh with office-based analytical tasks using modern IT tools, offering tremendous learning and growth opportunities for agriculture and data enthusiasts.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: – Middle / Matric with Science for Field Assistant posts – Intermediate for Junior Clerk / Data Processing Assistant – Bachelor’s degree (Statistics, Agri. Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics) for Statistical Assistant & higher posts
- Experience: Prior experience in crop surveys, data collection, or agricultural fieldwork will be preferred but fresh candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Age restriction: 18 to 33 (with a 15-year relaxation for government employees and in accordance with Sindh government policy)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic smartphone usage; strong communication skills in Sindhi and Urdu; and the capacity to travel widely in rural areas are all prerequisites. GIS and remote sensing expertise will be beneficial.
- Domicile: Sindh province’s permanent residence (district-wise quota applied in accordance with government policy)
- Physical Fitness: To do in-depth fieldwork, candidates must be physically fit.
